I assume there are no exporters for these yet, but once they are out would it make more sense to just patch them back into MUL files so that we wont need to worry about having a server to support the new client?

That is probably impossible as UO:KR uses a whole new engine, which means the artwork is very very different and cannot be used with the legacy client.

Well if you exported 2d art/tiles it should be in a standard image format like bmp, jpg, png. I suppose they could have created there own image format and content processor but that sounds like a waste of time to me.
As long as it can be exported to a standard image format then it can be patched into a mul.

What "2D images" with KR? KR means 3D rendering.

Arts in UOKR client is same as 2D client. It's simple BMP or DDS image. Only mobiles and terrain is 3D in UOKR client all other is only 2D graphic (with bigger size not only 44x44).

I have a question: How to make Spyuo work with the latest 2.47.0.6 client?

Sorry Solar I have never used spyuo, if I get a spare moment I will look into it for you.
What program would everyone recommend to disassemble art/terrain/facet files? I think I said before I have never reverse engineered a program before and I need some help to get started.

What about disassembling the whole UOP file? Because the other won't help you without the whole file...

GPrime .. use UOP Unpacker and unpack any UOP file from UOKR. Tiles, Arts etc. are in BMP, TGA, DDS maybe any other format.

I realize many of the files are just standard graphics, but tileart.uop does not contain standard graphics as far as I can tell. Each file inside is 222 Bytes in size.

40*44 pixel + 2 bytes "header" or such?
(just wild guessing)
